I created a Frequency 2 Channel convertor for MythTv after I finally discovered how to configure the channels manually. - 1 September 2005
I received an old Pentium III 733 Mhz server from my mom. I thought it could be used as a good practice machine to see what MythTV can do.
After trying Gentoo Linux I found Jarod Wilson's Fedora Core4 MythTV Howto and I managed to install MythTV. I did suffer from two problems:
1) I have a Cinergy Terratec 400 TV Capture card, which doesn't use a btb chipste but a Philips chipset, this chip is supported in kernel 2.6, but configuring it gave some troubles
2) I couldn't get all channels to work
